Feijoa Icecream... YUM!

During the last week of Term 1, we had an influx of feijoa's, so Koka Ngaire thought it would be a fantastic idea to make Feijoa Icecream!

Heaps of kids went picking and bought in buckets of feijoa's, then another group of kids scooped out the feijoa pulp.  We then had to add lemon juice and sugar to the pulp and that was left to set overnight.  The next day we had some other learners who cracked eggs & seperated the yolk & whites, measured and whipped cream and folded it all together to create goodness!

This mixture was then left in the freezer overnight and then on Friday, last session, we enjoyed delicious feijoa icecream before heading off on our school holidays!!
